Journey to Aphrodite's sunny island to practice yoga and indulge in a unique holiday experience: live and stay in a centuries-old village, away from tourists, amidst living tradition, surrounded by orange, wine, and olive plantations, where the heart of Cyprus beats.
The Cyprus Villages hotels are perfect for those seeking relaxation far from mass tourism. You have the freedom to choose how to spend your leisure time. Whether you want to be active or find peace in the beautiful nature, you can return from your trip reinvigorated, full of energy, positivity, and well-being.
Experience the romantic atmosphere of Cyprus Villages. The apartment complex including the tavern and pool is located between Larnaca and Limassol, about 6 miles from the beach, in the small mountain village of Tochni. Cyprus Villages offers you the opportunity to live in a traditional stone house. Stroll through the narrow alleys around the village square and enjoy a coffee in the traditional coffee shop. You will participate in the authentic village life with Mediterranean flair. The hospitality of the Cypriots is famous. Their motto, "Kopiaste", means: Come, sit with us! The central location and proximity to the sea make Tochni an ideal place to combine cosy beach holidays with various activities and excursions.
The Cypriot home cooking is freshly prepared from local products and mostly from the own organic garden at the Tochni Taverna. Dining on the Taverna terrace, you also enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the entire village, the surroundings up to the sea. The apartments are about a 3-minute walk from the tavern. Both breakfast and dinner are served at the Tochni Taverna, where typical local dishes and, on request, vegetarian or vegan meals are offered.

Panayiota Karayianni is a traditional Hatha Yoga teacher (6-month intensive Yoga Teacher and Sadhana training (750 hrs practice + 750 hrs theory) at the International Centre of Yoga Education and Research (ICYER), Pondicherry, India). "Asanas, Kriyas, Mudras, Mantras, Ayurvedic nutrition, Pranayama, various relaxation and concentration techniques, as well as Numerology are carefully integrated into my teaching and practice. Yoga nidra and Meditation are also part of it. In addition to my teaching, I bring experiences directly from the Ashram in India, which was a unique life experience. My training as a prenatal Yoga teacher allows me to safely introduce pregnant women to Yoga practice. In 2019, I participated in a 6-week Womb Sciences Immersion, which included the specific use of herbs and practices to alleviate premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopausal symptoms, as well as practices to strengthen the pelvic floor. Currently, I am training in Female Informed Yoga, a slower healing practice that helps women tune into their menstrual cycle and work in a therapeutic and holistic manner."

The family-run hotel was great, the food was excellent and the yoga classes were great. It was just a shame that there was no transfer to a town where we could have gone for a stroll.

Melanie suited us very well as a yoga teacher. The yoga was varied and tailored to our needs. The yoga room was very appealing and air-conditioned.

I know yoga retreats differently, where excursions and joint events are organized. As a solo traveler, it was very lonely in the first week without yoga classes. The guests there mostly had a rental car and were out and about. The second week with yoga and beach transfers was ok, but I had the impression that yoga was a side activity. There was no sense of community.
