Rheumatology focuses on diseases of the musculoskeletal system, particularly joints, muscles, and connective tissues. For conditions like fibromyalgia, a chronic disease, supportive therapies from the field of physical medicine can be beneficial. One such therapy is hydrotherapy, where water at varying temperatures is used strategically to alleviate pain, enhance circulation, and relieve tension. Phlebology deals with the treatment of venous system diseases. A proven therapy in this area is the Dax mineral water therapy. The mineral-rich water is used to relieve symptoms such as swelling, pain, or a feeling of heaviness in the legs. It promotes circulation, has anti-inflammatory effects, and strengthens the venous walls. The treatment can be administered as a bath, compress, or drinking therapy. Other effective therapies complement the range. In peloid therapy, soothingly warm mineral mud is applied specifically to the affected body parts. It has anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving effects and improves joint mobility. The so-called turpentine shower combines 38-degree Celsius thermal water with DAXTHERPIN®, a natural turpentine oil from pine or spruce needles, enhancing circulation and muscular relaxation. The carbon dioxide bath is also among the effective treatments. Here, thermal water is enriched with fine carbon dioxide bubbles. The CO₂ microbubbles penetrate the skin under slight pressure, improving tissue circulation, reducing edema, and enhancing muscle oxygen supply. Additionally, many other treatments are used, such as drinking therapies, heat therapies for hands and feet, high-pressure showers, massages, and much more. All treatments aim to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and sustainably improve overall well-being.
