A modern hotel for those new to Ayurveda or for experienced therapy guests.
The exclusive Taprana A Luvayurveda Hotel, with direct beach access, is built in a modern style. Combining traditional Ayurvedic therapies with modern comforts, the hotel promises an authentic, unforgettable experience. Return to the harmony of your senses - in a peaceful and familial atmosphere, you can align your body, mind, and soul, and immerse yourself in the art and relaxation of Ayurveda. In addition to the well-known Panchakarma treatments, the hotel also aims to offer Ayurveda to guests who are still skeptical about the topic.
Balapitiya is a small, original fishing village in the southwest of Sri Lanka. You can reach the village from Colombo Airport via the highway in about 2 hours. However, the longer overland route (about 3.5 hours) through tropical landscapes, partly along the beaches, through fishing villages, and tourist centres, is recommended. This way, you get a first impression of your holiday destination.
Delight in a diverse selection of culinary delights, carefully compiled according to the principles of the Doshas, depending on the program. The Ayurvedic dishes are prepared from fresh, regional products and match the individual recommendations of the qualified doctor. In addition, Tridosha dishes and some European culinary creations are also offered in the lovingly decorated restaurant.
The experienced team of doctors and therapists performs the Ayurvedic treatments according to the individual treatment plan. You can expect a wide range of treatments, from massages to herbal therapies. Thanks to the resort's small size and thus manageable number of guests, you will receive very personal care. Regular yoga and meditation sessions. Acupuncture treatments can be booked on site for a fee.
Seawater pool (approx. 60 sqm). Participation in the Ayurvedic cooking class, relaxing walks on the beach. A variety of excursions available, e.g., boat trip on the Madu River, visit to a turtle farm, and various temples.
The 12 rooms each feature a private balcony or terrace with sea view. Amenities include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito net, safe, shower/toilet, bathtub, hairdryer, and bathrobe. The artfully crafted works by Sri Lankan artists give the rooms an especially authentic touch. I feel very refreshed. Journey into myself. Very good therapist. Doctor a bit laisez-fair. Food super! Great room, great room service, attentive service. Implementation of specific excursion request went wrong. Yoga was fine.

Fully met my expectations. However, there was no lecture on Ayurveda - although it was in your description.
