The CGH Earth Group's resort, located above Om Beach, offers a sanctuary to hear one's "Inner Sound." A unique combination of Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga, and meditation is used here for sustainable revitalization.
Located on the west coast of India, above the renowned Om Beach, lies the idyllic SwaSwara. In Sanskrit, Swa means 'the self' and Swara signifies 'sound'. Nestled within a 10-hectare palm grove, the resort offers soothing tranquility, inviting you to rediscover your 'Inner Voice'. The buildings, coloured in earth tones, blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
SwaSwara offers both authentic Ayurveda and naturopathy – two distinct healing traditions, each accompanied by individually tailored treatments and therapies. Complemented by yoga and meditation, the aim is to align body and mind. Our goal is to provide you with a break from daily life, creating a nurturing space that calms, renews, and invigorates.
Located at the legendary Om Beach, away from the village of Gokarna on the west coast of India and amidst 26 hectares of green lawns and gardens, surrounded by pristine beaches, SwaSwara is truly a place of peace, far removed from the distractions of urban centres. SwaSwara is not just an earthly destination. It is the gateway to a deeper place that resides within yourself.
The saying "You are what you eat" is a lived reality at SwaSwara, as good, consciously planned food is an essential part of well-being. In the open restaurant, healthy and balanced meals are offered, based either on Ayurvedic or naturopathic principles. The dishes are mostly made from fresh vegetables, either from our own cultivation or sourced from the market, and occasionally fish. Additionally, vegan and gluten-free options are available. There is a deliberate avoidance of meat and high-proof alcohol to enhance physical wellness.
Experienced Ayurveda and naturopathy doctors and therapists. In 6 treatment rooms, Ayurvedic treatments such as Abhyanga full-body massage, Shirodhara oil forehead flow, Sirovasthi oil head bath, Mukhalepam facial treatments, Nasyam nasal cleansing, or Kizhyi, as well as naturopathic treatments like mud, aroma, hydro, sound, heliotherapy, therapeutic massages, reflexology, acupuncture, or sitz baths are performed.
Daily yoga and meditation support the success of the stay. 1 large Yoga Shala with glass windows, 1 Pranayama Deck on a hill with a 180° view of Om Beach and the sea, and 1 Meditation hut near the pool.
SwaSwara is a unique hotspot for bird watching. With its protected forest and rainwater lakes, the resort's natural and pristine landscape provides the perfect habitat for birds. Here, you can admire endangered hornbills and the majestic white-bellied sea eagle, or simply enjoy the beautiful bird songs. For bird lovers, SwaSwara offers guided birdwatching excursions every Wednesday.
Beautiful outdoor pool. Painting or pottery workshops, cultural evening events, cooking classes, excursions and much more.
The 24 Konkan Villas (approx. 140 sqm) at SwaSwara blend traditional craftsmanship from the Uttara Karnataka region with architecture that harmoniously integrates with nature. Open, light-filled spaces create a connection to the surroundings, while private gardens and spacious green areas invite moments of pause. Each villa features a separate living and sleeping area, a semi-open bathroom with shower/toilet, and modern amenities such as telephone, hairdryer, safe, tea set, minibar, and an air-conditioned sleeping zone. A special highlight is the yoga deck on the upper level, offering breathtaking views of the landscape.
