In the heart of Franzensbad, the Savoy Spa & Medical Hotel, a prestigious four-star hotel built in 1795, awaits you. It impresses with its classical architecture and stylish ambiance. Location & Surroundings
Franzensbad, the smallest and most tranquil spa town in the Bohemian Spa Triangle, boasts a 200-year tradition as a therapy resort. Renowned for its 22 mineral springs and the Franzensbad Moor, it is located in the west of the Czech Republic, close to the German border and just 3.7 miles from the town of Cheb. Sheltered by the Ore Mountains and the Fichtel Mountains, the spa town enjoys a pleasant climate. The surrounding landscape, with its gentle hills and dense forests, invites visitors for relaxing walks and hikes.
Dining & Leisure
A modern dining hall offering Bohemian and international cuisine. Breakfast is served buffet-style, lunch offers a choice of 4 dishes, with soup and dessert served, and salads from the buffet. Dinner includes a choice of 3 dishes plus a cold option, soup, dessert, and salads from the buffet. From 18 November 2024, meals will be served on a buffet basis. From 2 January 2025, dinner will include 2 glasses of house white or red wine, or a small draft beer. Options include diet (including diabetic), slimming, separation, and vegetarian meals. The lobby bar and a cosy café with homemade desserts and a terrace are perfect spots to relax.
Wellness & Spa
Indoor pool (8 x 4 m, approx. 30°C), Finnish sauna, Kneipp pool. Guests interested can visit the AQUAFORUM water world at the Spa Hotel PAWLIK-AQUAFORUM**** (for a fee: 2 hours from approx. €15, including sauna from approx. €23). Features include 3 indoor and 2 outdoor pools with water attractions, whirlpools, sauna, water grotto, snack bar, restaurant, and aqua shop.
Health & Treatments
Modern therapy department (Mon-Fri 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Sat 7 a.m.-12 p.m.) with doctors and medical professionals, nursing service, and 24-hour medical assistance. Treatments include massages, medicinal gas injections, paraffin wraps, inhalations, electrotherapy, oxygen and magnetic field therapy, local cryotherapy, group physiotherapy in the rehabilitation pool, whirlpool baths, mud packs. Own lymphatic center, dry massage tub (Velus Jet Medical). Additional treatments available at Hotel Goethe.

Diverse leisure activities: Bicycle rental, German-language newspapers, library in the Spa Hotel Goethe. Cycling, hiking, Nordic walking, city museum, Brömse Gallery, concerts, theatre, cultural events. Excursions to the spa towns of Marienbad and Karlsbad. The treatments were very good and the medical staff were very friendly. The hotel is getting on in years and the service here leaves something to be desired. Maybe it's also the mentality of the Czechs?
