Dr. V. Franklin, the founder of Shinshiva and a pioneer in the global spread of Ayurveda, came from a family with over 400 years of Ayurvedic tradition and was awarded the 'Touristic Man of the Year' in 1999. Today, his daughter Dr. Shanthi Franklin leads the resort.

The Ayurveda Center Shinshiva offers top-notch care with four experienced Ayurveda doctors and twenty dedicated therapists who are committed to the well-being of the guests. The center features ten treatment rooms, segregated by gender, and includes an accessible room for individuals with mobility impairments. Shinshiva specializes in alleviating a variety of ailments through bespoke Ayurvedic therapies that promote sustainable improvement in health and well-being.
The leisure programme offers a variety of activities and experiences. Traditional festivities such as Onam, Christmas, and New Year's programmes are organised at no additional cost. Ayurveda workshops, cultural events, and Kerala-style cooking classes can be booked on-site for a fee. Private yoga and meditation classes in the open-air yoga centre are available upon request and for a fee (approx. 10€ (UK £9 / USD $11)).
