History and the present merge in the meticulously restored old town of Bad Langensalza, with its half-timbered houses creating a distinctive atmosphere. Renowned as Europe's most flourishing city, Bad Langensalza boasts ten parks and themed gardens. From the elegantly curved park, the spa promenade, the exotic Japanese Garden, the vibrant Rose Garden, the Apothecary and Magnolia Gardens, to the Arboretum, your visit will be an unforgettable experience.

Dining & Leisure

A buffet and an à la carte restaurant. Half board includes a lavish breakfast buffet and dinner as a set menu with starters and desserts buffet, while the main course is served at the table. Bar, lounge, and library are also available.

Friederiken Spa

A robe walkway leads from the hotel to the Friederiken Spa with its sulphur and brine water. Indoor and outdoor pools with 3% brine, a spring pool with 5% brine water, cascade pool, and therapy pool.
Expansive sauna area featuring a rose sauna (65°C), Hainich sauna (80°C), steam bath, infrared cabin (45°C) indoors, and an earth sauna (110°C) and panorama sauna (90°C) in the sauna garden. For refreshment afterwards, there is a plunge pool, a sensorial shower world, and foot pools. For relaxation, enjoy the whirlpool, rest rooms with spa loungers and water beds, and the open-air wall to the sauna garden. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the "primeval forest" of the Hainich National Park from the spectacular 540m long treetop path. Bicycle rental is available at the tourist office (for a fee). Explore the nearby cities of Mühlhausen, Eisenach, and Erfurt.

Bab Langensalza is well worth a visit, even more so in spring/summer of course. We walked a lot and then went to the thermal baths.

The reception was very friendly, hotel was clean and we felt comfortable. Very friendly staff in the spa and plenty of loungers. Unfortunately, the passage from the sauna area to the bathroom was closed and you always had to go through the changing rooms when changing.
