The Spa Hotel Rimski Dvor/Terme is the central part of the Roman bath complex, nestled in a lush green setting in the idyllic town of Rimske Toplice. A special highlight is a visit to the nearby village of Senožete, where the 500-year-old estate of the famous Slovenian ballad poet Anton Aškerc can be visited as a museum today. A trip to the Valley of the Carthusians is also worthwhile, where you can learn more about the historical monastic life of the monks. But not only hiking – the picturesque surroundings of Rimske Toplice can also be wonderfully explored by bike rides, horseback riding, and rafting trips.

At the Kaiser Ferdinand restaurant, a diverse self-service buffet awaits you, offering fresh, locally sourced ingredients, served as part of the half board. The à la carte restaurant Sofija delights with exquisite dishes, which can be paired with top-class wines from the finest Slovenian wine regions. At the Café Prinzessin Viktorija, featuring a cosy terrace and fireplace, as well as in the Lounge Bar of the adjacent hotel Sofijin Dvor, enjoy a wide selection of drinks and homemade desserts from the in-house patisserie. The pool bar offers a range of cold and hot drinks, cocktails, and freshly prepared snacks.

The hotel is directly connected to the Rimske Terme via a corridor. The child-free therapy center is available daily, including on arrival and departure days, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at no extra cost.

The two sources of the Rimske Terme spring from Triassic dolomite rocks and have exit temperatures of 38.4°C and 36.3°C respectively. The thermal water is among the richest and most potent in Slovenia, containing numerous minerals that have a positive effect on the body.

The impressive architectural design of the swimming pools covers 450 m² and is inspired by Roman baths. Available to you are an indoor pool (approx. 32°C), connected to the outdoor pool, as well as four indoor and three outdoor whirlpools (approx. 35°C) with seating and lounging areas.

For additional relaxation, the Varinia sauna world (at an extra charge) offers a Finnish sauna, Turkish and Roman saunas, a bio-aroma sauna, Russian sauna, salt sauna, a cold water pool, a relaxation room, and an outdoor terrace.

The Roman baths extend over approximately 1,000 sqm (9 a.m.-9 p.m., pools 8 a.m.-10 p.m.) with indoor and outdoor thermal pools covering about 450 sqm, children's pool. Varina sauna world with Finnish, Turkish, and Roman saunas, infrared cabin, whirlpool. Pedicure, manicure, gym.

At the Amalija Wellness Centre, a diverse selection of massages and body treatments await you, combining high-quality, carefully selected products to bring the healing power of nature into your body. Anti-cellulite and detox treatments by Dr. Spiller are also available, as well as various scrubs and body wraps.

In the Temple of the Water Nymphs, you can strengthen your immune system and recharge your life energy in four authentic stone baths from Roman times and six modern baths with house thermal baths, baths for two, and special experiences for couples.

Additionally, the SPA in the Beauty Salon offers a comprehensive selection of facial and body care treatments, manicures, pedicures, depilation, and cellulite treatments. Here, products from renowned brands such as Thalgo, Dr. Spiller, Sothys, and Afrodita Cosmetics are used to enhance your beauty and boost your well-being.

A stay at the spa resort and the use of therapy programs based on the unique healing properties of the thermal water are recommended for the treatment of various ailments, such as chronic or acute joint pain, and respiratory diseases. Additionally, the complex boasts a natural mineral spring for drinking therapies and benefits from the healthy mountain air and the special microclimate of the surrounding coniferous forests.

Rimske Terme features one of the best medical and rehabilitation centers in Slovenia. The Valetuda medical center (8 a.m.-3 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m.-12 p.m.) spans an area of 800m² and offers various therapeutic programs such as physiotherapy, electrotherapy, laser therapy, and therapeutic massages. The programs are tailored to individual needs and focus particularly on pain relief, restoration of physical strength, and well-being. The center is equipped with a rehabilitation pool and two hydro-massage baths.
