Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions in Detail

Your Ayurveda Resort

Located directly on the west coast of Sri Lanka, just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Negombo and the lively main beach, the Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions almost seem like a haven of peace and serenity – the perfect setting for your Ayurveda therapy. The resort invites you to relax in a paradisiacal garden. The private atmosphere in the pavilions (Queen and King) and the Ayurveda therapies tailored to each guest make this resort stand out. As a member of the Jetwing Hotel Group, environmental awareness and resource conservation are part of the hotel concept, evident in water treatment, use of solar energy, and composting. Alcohol and cigarettes are not permitted in the resort.

Location & Surroundings

Negombo, the quaint harbour town on Sri Lanka's west coast, is not only popular due to its proximity to the airport and the capital, Colombo (about 40 km), but often serves as the first stop for travellers from around the world. Still active in fishing and with Dutch influences in architecture and culture, the town captivates with its sandy beaches, enchanting canals, and the unique freshwater lagoon. Moreover, tourism has been actively promoted since the 1970s, making the interaction with tourists very relaxed.

Dining & Leisure

The open restaurant "Koththamalli by Rohan" is designed in Sinhalese style and offers fresh, dosha-appropriate, Ayurvedic cuisine with full board. In consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor and using ingredients from our own herb garden, meals are lovingly prepared and served individually. Alternatively, guests can also dine privately in their own garden or on the terrace by the pool. The hotel exclusively serves vegetarian and vegan food, ensuring variety is never compromised.

Ayurveda Center

Located at the rear of the resort is the Ayurveda Center. A team of qualified Ayurveda doctors and experienced therapists devotedly care for your well-being. Ayurvedic treatments such as powder and herbal poultice massages or Shirodhara oil forehead treatments take place in the privacy of your own pavilion and/or at the Ayurveda Center. The supplementary Ayurvedic medicine used is subject to certified quality controls and is also available in the resort's own Ayurveda shop. Yoga is held daily in the Yoga Shala. Music therapy with a Sinhalese guru is available (included). Ayurvedic cooking demonstrations and lectures can help you integrate the knowledge of "living healthily and long" into your everyday life.

Free Time

Relax by the outdoor pool or embark on a delightful excursion to explore the numerous beaches around Negombo. Start with the beautiful fine sandy beach with crystal-clear blue waters in Negombo (Negombo Beach), where you can also enjoy the pool and beach facilities of the nearby Jetwing Hotels Beach and Blue (about 500 metres away). Adjacent are Ettukala Beach and Browns Beach. Along the beach promenade, you'll find charming shops and inviting restaurants that beckon you to linger. A 30-minute drive south towards Colombo takes you to the beaches of Seeduwa, perfect for all kinds of water sports. If you're into diving or snorkelling, the local underwater world offers mesmerising insights. Additionally, Waikkal Beach, located about 5 km north of Negombo, is ideal for sunbathing, engaging in water sports, and taking long beach walks.

The doctors and healing therapists at the Ayurveda retreat were great. I felt very well looked after. The food is good and the senior waiters were always attentive to the guests. The reception was also very good, depending on the staff. The only drawback is the location of the hotel. Depending on the room location, it is very noisy due to road traffic or neighboring hotels with loud music. There is still room for improvement in terms of room cleanliness. Since the team on site was always very committed and supported me very well in everything and the team from SpaDreams Reisen always accompanied me very well, I still give the highest rating.

Vacation was good.

I think it would be important to emphasize that the hotel is located in the center and therefore there is always car noise. on weekends it is very loud at night. Yoga twice a day should always be guaranteed, the days are otherwise very long. The staff was very friendly and the food was good.
