The Vitarium Hotel, nestled in the heart of the Šmarješke Toplice spa park, is a true oasis of tranquility and relaxation. The thermal water (about 32°C) is rich in minerals and CO2. The Vitarium Hotel and the Health Center are interconnected.
Location & Surroundings
Perched north of Novo Mesto, Šmarješke Toplice is set against a picturesque backdrop. The enchanting Dolenj landscape beckons with a network of hiking and cycling trails, along with fascinating attractions waiting to be discovered.
Dining & Leisure
2 bars (including 1 exclusively for VitaDetox). Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner as a 4-course choice menu, with salad and dessert buffet in the evening. Many dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients from organic and integrated farming. Herbs, vegetables, spices, and fruits are grown and harvested in our own castle garden. Guests who have booked the SlimFit or VitaDetox programmes will receive a menu tailored to their needs. Diets for heart and vascular diseases, diabetes, slimming diets, and vegetarian options are also available.
Wellness & Spa
In the relaxing ambiance of the Vitarium Spa & Clinique wellness centre (approx. 1,000 sqm), an extensive range of massages, baths, and cosmetic treatments await to indulge your senses and restore your strength. For your complete well-being, a bio bar, a gym, and bicycles with oxygen masks for altitude training are available. Qualified sports medicine therapists, masseurs, and relaxation techniques ensure your optimal care, as do specialists. Additionally, you will find a hair and beauty salon. The Vitarium Aqua offers two indoor thermal pools and an outdoor pool, as well as a sauna area (approx. €15/day (approx. UK £13 / USD $16), over 18s only) featuring rustic and Finnish saunas, Turkish and Roman baths, herbal sauna, whirlpools, cold water pools, ice fountains, baths, and massages. The bioclimatic garden beautifully completes this wellness experience.

Health Center (Mon.-Sat., except holidays) with therapy and diagnostics. Specialized medical team. Laboratory. Rehabilitation centre for cardiovascular diseases, sports injuries, rheumatism, joint and back pain, and nervous system disorders.
Free Time
Just about 300 metres away is a public thermal forest swimming pool, featuring a sports pool and an oak pool (bathing above the thermal spring). Tennis courts are also available, and for exploratory trips, you can rent bicycles or e-bikes. For lovers of Nordic walking, the centre offers optimal routes. And for passionate golfers, an 18-hole golf course is just about 4 kilometres away, inviting you to tee off.

Located amidst a therapy park, all rooms offer a soothing view of pristine nature. Just a few steps from your room are the wellness centre, swimming pools, and the complete medical services. The 72 spacious, air-conditioned rooms provide every comfort and are furnished with natural materials. The 4 apartments and 8 junior suites are larger, with bathtubs and some have balconies.
