Lana, a picturesque location in South Tyrol, blends Mediterranean flair with Alpine charm. Surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and gentle mountains, Lana offers a perfect mix of relaxation and activity. Stroll through historic alleys, past ancient churches and vibrant markets, while the surrounding mountains invite you to hike and cycle through pristine nature. Lana tells stories – in its castles, on its paths, and in every glass of wine. A retreat that uniquely combines relaxation, enjoyment, and adventure.
The bread from Nals and Ultental, organic eggs from Vinschgau, tea from Bolzano, and coffee from Völs – each ingredient is a regional specialty. Honey, cheese, and yogurt also come from Ultental. The team maintains personal relationships with all farmers, producers, and suppliers, visiting them regularly. Depending on the season, fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs, and fruits from the hotel's own black garden enrich the kitchen. Juices, beers, wines, and spirits are sourced locally, while the wine list impresses with selected drops from South Tyrol, the region, and Italy.
The kitchen team transforms regional and seasonal ingredients into delicious dishes – including vegan, vegetarian, or free from lactose and gluten. The breakfast buffet entices with a variety of specialties from local farmers and alpine pastures. In the evening, guests are treated to a high-quality 4-course menu (three choices) featuring the finest local ingredients and fresh fish from Italian waters. Lunch is available in the afternoon for an additional charge. The Schwarzschmied Bar and Lounge completes the experience with homemade and regional drinks, as well as creative cocktails.
The Balance Spa invites you to dive in and relax with both an indoor and outdoor pool, heated year-round and filled with revitalized Grander water. A bio-sauna (approx. 65°C) and a Finnish outdoor sauna (approx. 90°C) are available from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additionally, the steam bath offers soothing warmth, while the indoor relaxation rooms with a fireplace create a cosy atmosphere. At the tea bar, you can enjoy organic teas and refreshing drinks.
A special highlight is the variety of massages and beauty treatments: from high-quality facial treatments with products from Susanne Kaufmann™ to massages such as the energetic back massage according to Dorn-Breuss, Shiatsu, or detox treatments. The spa facilities are available to you on the day of departure even after check-out – for pure relaxation until the very end.
