The highlight of Montanejos are the natural thermal pools, the Fuentes de los Baños, fed by a natural thermal spring. They are located in the riverbed of the Mijares. Reservoirs in the upper part of the river prevent the warm thermal water from mixing with the cooler water of the Mijares. This makes the thermal river a fascinating natural wonder, stretching about a kilometre through the landscape. At the bathing spot of the Fuentes de los Baños, approximately 15 m high limestone cliffs rise into the air, making the place a unique and spectacular retreat for relaxation. The water maintains a pleasant temperature of about 25°C all year round.

Montanejos is a paradise for active and health-conscious holidaymakers. Around the town, there are numerous circular hiking trails, as well as gorges and caves to explore. The Montanejos tourist train takes you to all the interesting points of the city, and you might even discover a secret or two about the city during the tour.
