The Art Nouveau, non-smoking Hotel Reitenberger is located about 50 metres above the colonnade with various drinking fountains, just a few steps from the city centre and hiking trails. Bus stop directly in front of the hotel.

Location & Surroundings

Marienbad – as world-famous as many of its guests - from Franz Kafka to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe to Emperor Franz Joseph. The traditional spa town in a south-facing valley with a mild climate was founded in 1818 by Karl Kaspar Reitenberger, the abbot of the Tepla Abbey, and is rich in mineral springs, natural gases, and peat. The clean air, many forests, and a pleasant altitude create optimal conditions for a spa and relaxation stay.

Hotel restaurant with summer terrace and beautiful views of the spa colonnade. Bohemian and international specialties, all meals buffet style, light cuisine at lunch with soups, salads, and fruit. Diet, lactose-free or gluten-free meals available on request. Café with dance events, lobby bar.

Indulge in our special Hot Stone, Chocolate, and Honey massages, and a drinking therapy. Please bring any medical reports you may have. Indications include diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system (polyneuropathy), respiratory tract, kidney diseases, urinary tract, gynaecological diseases, diabetes, overweight, arteriosclerosis of the small blood vessels (microangiopathy), coronary heart disease, and circulatory disorders.

Explore the enchanting castles of Königswart and Petschau, the historic city of Eger, and the spa towns of Franzensbad and Karlsbad, all conveniently accessible from our location. Enjoy skiing at the Marienbad Ski Area and cross-country trails. Attractions in Marienbad, all within walking distance, include the Singing Fountain, healing springs, spa park, miniature park, and both Russian and English churches. GOLF at the 8-hole Royal Golf Club Marienbad, just about 1.2 miles away.

Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation in a beautiful place. The fact that a Flixbus was used in Germany with another bus change on the return journey in the evening is not ideal, especially for the mostly older guests. The stop for lunch and subsequent bus change at the turnstile in Thiersheim /Selp is also not very hospitable and stressful for the older participants. The service provided by the travel provider "fitreisen" was hospitable and professional. many thanks for that. best regards Kerstin Zacharias
