Location & Surroundings
Marienbad – as world-famous as many of its guests - from Franz Kafka to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe to Emperor Franz Joseph. The traditional spa town in a south-facing valley with a mild climate was founded in 1818 by Karl Kaspar Reitenberger, the abbot of the Tepla Abbey, and is rich in mineral springs, natural gases, and peat. The clean air, many forests, and a pleasant altitude create optimal conditions for a spa and relaxation stay.

Our hotel boasts an on-site balneotherapy department (open Mon.-Fri. from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) staffed with a doctor and offering 30 different treatments such as massages (partial, full-body, hydro, reflex, medical), lymphatic drainage, electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, thermotherapy, medical baths, natural gas packs/injections, water aerobics, and mud wraps. Indulge in our special Hot Stone, Chocolate, and Honey massages, and a drinking therapy. Please bring any medical reports you may have. Indications include diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system (polyneuropathy), respiratory tract, kidney diseases, urinary tract, gynaecological diseases, diabetes, overweight, arteriosclerosis of the small blood vessels (microangiopathy), coronary heart disease, and circulatory disorders.

Explore the enchanting castles of Königswart and Petschau, the historic city of Eger, and the spa towns of Franzensbad and Karlsbad, all conveniently accessible from our location. Enjoy skiing at the Marienbad Ski Area and cross-country trails. Attractions in Marienbad, all within walking distance, include the Singing Fountain, healing springs, spa park, miniature park, and both Russian and English churches. GOLF at the 8-hole Royal Golf Club Marienbad, just about 1.2 miles away.

The implementation of the overall Ayurveda concept at the Reitenberger Hotel in Mariánské Lázně is more than successful. We were absolutely fascinated by the food, which was prepared and served with a lot of love and knowledge. The treatments were a dream and the doctors and staff were friendly and professional. Every day a short consultation and the treatments tailored to your well-being. The hotel has a great atmosphere and we will be back.
