A charming hotel in the spa town of Bad Flinsberg. Perfect for relaxation and therapy, as well as exploring the stunning mountain landscape of the Jizera Mountains.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Iser Mountains, one of the most charming regions of Silesia, lies the delightful spa town of Bad Flinsberg (Świeradów Zdrój), at the tri-border area of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Situated on the sunny eastern slope of the Heufuder and along the Queis River, this historic spa town boasts a rich history dating back to the 17th century and has always been a cherished destination for those seeking relaxation and spa treatments.
Just about 600 meters from the town center is the cosy Hotel Era. An internet PC in the lobby and a safe at the reception are available for your convenience. An elevator easily takes you up to the third floor. Notably, the cable car to Heufuder, just a three-minute walk away, serves as the perfect starting point for hikes into the idyllic surroundings. Thanks to its special foehn location, Bad Flinsberg enjoys a moderate stimulating climate, renowned for its soothing and relieving effects. The natural remedies of the spa town – mineral-rich springs, radon, and therapeutic peat – further contribute to your recovery and health.
The hotel pampers its guests with a lavish breakfast and dinner buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. From fresh, regional ingredients to a wide selection of hot and cold dishes – here you can start your day perfectly and enjoy culinary delights in the evening after an eventful day. For lunch, you can expect either a carefully composed menu or a varied buffet, offering a diversity of dishes to choose from. All meals are prepared with seasonal and traditional Polish specialties, bringing you closer to the authentic flavours of the region.
In the summer months, you can also enjoy your meals on the beautiful terrace with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Here, you experience the perfect blend of culinary pleasure and natural idyll, while the crisp mountain air ensures a particularly refreshing experience. For guests with special dietary needs, the hotel offers gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, vegan, and diabetic options – a simple advance notice is enough, and the kitchen team will gladly accommodate your wishes. The gastronomic experience is rounded off by a cosy café and a stylish bar, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, refreshing drinks, or an evening cocktail. This is the ideal place to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere at the end of the day.
At the heart of the hotel, a modern spa, wellness, and therapy department awaits you, open Monday to Friday, offering numerous opportunities to revitalise both body and mind. Indulge in a diverse range of services focused on relaxation and rejuvenation.
Experience the soothing warmth of the infrared sauna, the classic Finnish sauna, or the aromatherapy bio-sauna, which invigorates the senses and calms the body. A special highlight is the private graduation tower (12 x 5 meters), open exclusively during the summer season, which with its saline air has a beneficial effect on the respiratory tract. For an extraordinary experience, the cryo sauna uses extreme cold for health benefits. Those seeking deep relaxation will adore the hydro-massage tubs, which use gentle water jets for comprehensive recovery.
Furthermore, a wide array of treatments tailored to your needs awaits you. From mud packs, classic partial body massages, and relaxing inhalations to advanced therapies like interference therapy, ultrasound treatments, and the invigorating pearl bath.
For guests preferring more intensive treatment, full-body massages, lymphatic massages, and the modern floating capsule, which creates a sensation of weightlessness and deeply relaxes the body, are available for a fee. The shockwave therapy device additionally offers targeted treatment options for muscular complaints. The experienced team of therapists is also available for individual rehabilitation gymnastics and accompanies you in aerobic classes and Nordic walking tours to enhance your physical fitness.
The famous drinking therapies of Bad Flinsberg take place in the nearby therapy center in the center, just about 1 km from the hotel. The healing water comes from seven radon water springs with varying mineral concentrations. Rich in magnesium and calcium, it supplies the body with essential minerals, thus supporting regeneration and health maintenance.
The pool promises a truly unique experience, as it is nestled in a fascinating salt cave. Surrounded by the natural, healing powers of salt, you'll immerse yourself in an atmosphere that offers peace and relaxation at the highest level.
The walls of the cave are lined with crystalline salt, which not only purifies the air but also has a soothing effect on the respiratory system and skin. The mild, salty microclimate supports regeneration and ensures a deep sense of recovery.
As you glide through the pleasantly tempered water, you'll experience the interplay of gentle light effects and calming silence that envelop your senses and make you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This special place is perfect for a restorative break, where you can fully enjoy the healing properties of salt.
Discover the breathtaking mountain landscape on extended walks or a bike tour. The cable car next to the hotel takes you to the ski area in the winter months.

The very friendly staff put you in the mood for a vacation right at the reception. The room was completely OK with balcony and beautiful view, bathroom top, mattress great, pillow selection. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good, even for vegetarians. The sauna (with bathing suit!) rather modest. Massages should be booked in good time. The town is appealing, the landscape fabulously beautiful, and the location of the hotel on the outskirts of the village ideal for the start of hikes. I can recommend this vacation to ladies traveling alone. However, those who value socializing should book a different accommodation. I like to sit alone at meals and felt well looked after and comfortable there. I was never looked at strangely but treated politely; rather ignored by other vacationers. The other guests in October were mainly German pensioners, and Polish families at the weekend. German is spoken almost everywhere. If you speak to the staff in English, no matter where, they usually reply in German :-) Conclusion: recommendable
