Nestled in an idyllic and picturesque setting, the Grandhotel Nabokov offers guests a wide range of therapy and spa treatments. Welcome to Marienbad - a city in the heart of the lush Imperial Forest!
The Grandhotel Nabokov is located next to the spa park and the Forest Spring (about 50 m), only about 150 m from the spa colonnade and the singing fountain. Named after the significant Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov, the hotel comprises 7 historic buildings (Bristol, Imperial, Poeta, Aglaja, Credo, Davos, Columbus). The indoor pool and wellness centre blend classic Art Nouveau spa architecture with the modern design of the 21st century.
Marienbad, the second-largest spa town in the Czech Republic, is rich in mineral springs. Thanks to the diverse chemical composition of the local healing springs, Marienbad offers treatments for a wide spectrum of ailments. The town itself is home to 40 springs, with an incredible 100 in the surrounding area. The colonnades and pavilions, where the springs emerge, shape the picturesque spa atmosphere.
The hotel restaurant, with its stunning view of the spa park, boasts the latest technology for food preparation, aligning with current gastronomic trends. All meals are served buffet style. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and diet meals are available upon request. Enjoy the Lobby Bar and Café Lolita, featuring homemade cakes.
For pure rest and relaxation, hotel guests can visit two wellness centres – the sauna area (daily 2 p.m.–9 p.m.) with infrared cabin, herbal sauna, and Finnish sauna, and the water world (daily 9 a.m.–9 p.m.) with an indoor pool (daily 9 a.m.–9 p.m., approx. 23x39 ft, approx. 82°F), whirlpool, and steam bath, sure to satisfy even the most discerning guests. The wellness services also include a salt grotto (1 p.m.–8 p.m., for a fee of approx. 190 CZK/hour, approx. €8), solarium, fitness, and beauty salon (luxurious French cosmetics by Phytomer).
The modern spa clinic at the heart of the Grandhotel Nabokov features a professional doctor, medical staff, and 24-hour nursing readiness. Traditional natural remedies such as mineral springs (forest spring for therapeutic baths, inhalations, and drinking therapy), peat, medicinal gases, and healing climate are used for treatments. All treatments (Mon.-Sat.) are conducted in the hotel's own therapy department, tailored to the five primary needs of the guests: therapy, rehabilitation, renewal, rest, relaxation, and enjoyment. Offerings include mineral baths, peat wraps, underwater massages, dry carbon dioxide baths, paraffin wraps, relaxation massages, inhalations, electrotherapy, laser therapy, oxygen therapy, hydrocolon therapy, magnet therapy, ultrasound, gas injections (pneumopuncture), colon irrigation, biolamp, acupuncture. Individual or group physiotherapy is available. Additional treatments include hot stone, reflexology, and aromatherapy massages. The clinic is also equipped with one of the most advanced systems for musculoskeletal treatment, the SIS (Super Inductive System), which is particularly used for pain relief, muscle relaxation, muscle stimulation, and joint mobilization.
The well-maintained parks, stunning architecture, the beauty of the surrounding nature, a rich array of leisure activities, and not least, its famous history – all make Marienbad a popular and frequently visited social hub. Annual highlights not to be missed include the Chopin Festival, Marienbad Autumn, and the Jazz and Film Festival. Explore Becov Castle, Kynzvart, Loket, or Tepla Monastery. The 18-hole Royal Golf Club Marienbad is about 1.9 miles away, offering golf lessons.

The reception at the reception was extremely friendly. We were provided with plenty of information and had enough time to unload our luggage from the cars, with the hotel staff transporting it to our room. We knew there was limited parking on the hotel property. The nearest parking garage is approx. 500 m away and costs 240 crowns per day (10 €/d ). We had room 503, which is on the top floor. You look over the not very pretty backs of the neighboring hotels to the spa park . It is a very spacious room with enough space in the shower room. We had booked half board and can confirm that the breakfast and dinner fully met our expectations. At the medical examination our wishes were taken and considered in the application list. We were very satisfied with the therapeutic treatments. After so many positive points, I would like to point out the following areas for improvement: 1. Large parts of the hotel staff speak neither German nor English. There is a need to catch up here. 2. we did not experience unfriendliness anywhere. However, some employees are apparently not accustomed to greet or show a smile. The well-being of the hotel guests could be improved considerably by changing the behavior of the hotel staff.
