Feel at home at the Organic Nature Sanctuary Blasla. Slow down. Pause. Return to the roots while still experiencing the pure zest of life. Breathe in the clean mountain air. Take time to decelerate, forest bathe, feel, sense, and simply put down roots.
In the Gsies Valley in South Tyrol, nestled among gentle alpine meadows and dense forests, with a view of the stunning Dolomites mountain range, lies Blasla Hof. Scented stone pine wood, wool curtains, hay beds, sheep's wool, and felt slippers for your feet (although you can just as well walk barefoot in Blasla Village). This 4-star family-run hotel preserves a love for authenticity, respects nature, and fosters communal living. Cook together, bake bread, craft, relax in the spa or with yoga, or enjoy nature through hiking or forest bathing.
Glue- and metal-free construction. A passion for wood (by Holzius GmbH in Gsies). Stone pine wood, sheep's wool, felt, linen, and loden fabrics. Blasla Hof is a certified climate-positive organic hotel and winner in the Ecology category. To doubly offset the CO2 footprint, 36 climate protection certificates for the years 2021 and 2022 were purchased. These certificates (each representing one tonne of CO2) support a reforestation project in Uruguay and a rainforest protection program in Peru. Locally, 100% green electricity is sourced from eTanks, hydropower, or solar energy. All dressers, cabinets, sofas, chairs, lamps, and children's play kitchens are self-designed, crafted, and sustainably produced.
Blasla Hof is named after Saint Blasius of Sebaste, who, like Saint Barbara, is one of the 14 protective saints. The blessing of Saint Blasius is believed to protect not only against throat diseases but also to ward off all evil and "hastily spoken, inappropriate, and hurtful words." His symbol, the crossed candles, holds special significance: they remind us that Blasius was able to heal even "behind bars."
