A small and authentic Ayurveda resort with hospital certification, exclusively welcoming Ayurveda guests. Located about 200 meters from the pristine sandy beach, through palm and banana groves.
The AyuSuwathaa is located in the picturesque fishing village of Kosgoda in the southwest of Sri Lanka, approximately 125 km south of Colombo. The English-speaking manager ensures highly personalized and effective Ayurveda treatments. This is the ideal retreat for your health and relaxation.
Kosgoda is a quaint coastal village in Sri Lanka, renowned for its sea turtle conservation stations. Located on the southwest coast of the country, approximately 75 kilometres south of Colombo, the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project stands as a major attraction dedicated to the protection and preservation of sea turtles. Visitors can learn about the various species of turtles found in Sri Lanka and participate in the release of young turtles. Kosgoda is also celebrated for its scenic beaches and proximity to other tourist destinations like Bentota.
Enjoy your meals in the fresh air on the hotel's covered terrace. The Ayurvedic meals are prepared individually according to the recommendations of the Ayurveda doctor. The doctor is happy to provide explanations about your meals and is available for any questions you may have.
The Ayurveda Center at AyuSuwathaa is certified as an Ayurveda Hospital and offers a highly personalised classic Ayurveda therapy. In consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor, either a detox therapy (Panchakarma) or a regenerative therapy without detox components is conducted. Treatments, nutrition, and the patient's mindset are crucial factors for healing in Ayurveda. Nature provides everything necessary for the body - natural medicines and the right foods. The patient is responsible for their mindset, supported by the treating Ayurvedic doctor. All treatments take place in the on-site Ayurveda Center. Hammocks and deck chairs in the garden provide popular relaxation zones. Additionally, the following services can be provided subject to availability and for a fee: acupuncture, blood tests, urine samples, X-rays, consultations by Western specialists (e.g., for stroke or cancer patients), and medications for home use.
The expansive tropical garden with hammocks, sun loungers, and a pool is the perfect place to relax and unwind. After intensive treatments, if you wish to explore, AyuSuwathaa offers plenty of options. Its proximity to excellent attractions makes the hotel an ideal starting point to discover Kosgoda. Whether it's afternoon excursions to notable sites, Buddhist temples, local festivals, a tuk-tuk ride to Richmond Castle, or turtle watching – the area has something for everyone. Tours to Galle, Ratnapura, Kandy, or Colombo can be arranged upon request.
The 11 guest rooms are equipped with either a balcony or terrace and feature functional furnishings. The rooms are air-conditioned, and the high ceilings keep them pleasantly cool. The reception has a telephone. For book lovers, there is a small, exquisite library that invites you to browse. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, including the rooms.

If you are looking for an authentic, attentive and lovingly oriented Ayrveda treatment, AyuSuwathaa is the place for you. Very tasty food, cordial waiters, everyone always at the same table, 24-hour all-round medical care, TUKs always on site, a garden to relax in while enjoying the peace and quiet, the fauna and flora, all this makes for a very relaxing stay. The treatments are more than commendable, 4-5 a day!!!!

The resort is very well maintained, a small paradise. Everything is taken care of. No wish is denied to the guest. The team is incredibly loving and concerned. The Ayurvedic treatments are very profound and are performed with great care and skill. The medical examinations are central to this and you never feel alone with your issues. A round the clock care. The food, the meals are freshly prepared three times a day, are varied and authentic. The importance of food in Ayurvedic terms is clearly in focus. All contexts are brought close to you and explained. Many herbs grow directly in the garden and are freshly harvested. All in all it is win resort of a special but private class. You never have the feeling of an impersonal ambience. You feel like you are in a family. I feel very refreshed.
