Indulge in traditional Ayurveda in Bad Rappenau, a modern spa town nestled between the Odenwald and the Black Forest, featuring two Indian Ayurveda specialists, authentic treatments, and original Indian herbs and oils. The Ayurveda Garden comprises three non-smoking hotels set in a vast natural garden, offering a retreat from everyday stress within the Salinenpark on the edge of the town, just about 500 meters from the brine and sauna paradise RappSoDie. The familial atmosphere and personalised care in this hotel are crucial for the success of your Ayurveda therapy.
You will be pampered daily with three freshly cooked, warm vegetarian Ayurveda meals; the 2-course lunch is served, while breakfast and dinner are buffet style, balancing all three doshas. Herbs and spices from the hotel's own herb garden are used, along with fruits and vegetables predominantly from regional cultivation. Occasionally, you will experience show-cooking, and in the summer, an Ayurvedic BBQ and live-cooking. The dining room is located in an adjacent building, just a few steps away. The hotel provides glass bottles and water dispensers for guests to enjoy freshly filtered water. Additionally, the hotel offers Ayurvedic snacks and tea daily from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. during Tea-Time.
The Ayurveda Garden is led by Ayurveda specialist Dr. Shine, a descendant of a 200-year-old family of Ayurveda specialists, and yoga teacher Gudrun Samuel. The therapy rooms are located in the Saline 1 building. Here, professional therapists and traditional treatments such as Panchakarma, Ayurveda massages, and Shirodhara oil forehead pouring await you, tailored to your personal needs by the experienced Indian Ayurveda specialists Dr. Shine and Dr. Hariraj, who studied Ayurvedic medicine in Kerala, India. A haven of relaxation, the quiet room is available, and a large yoga room is provided for morning yoga sessions accompanying the therapy. Occasionally, lectures and photo documentation are also offered.
Here, authentic Ayurveda with profound therapeutic treatments awaits you, so much so that the specialists advise against more than one treatment per day. The treatments have lasting effects, and the body needs rest and time to process them. There are no rigid timings for the treatments. Each treatment is specifically tailored to the guest and their needs.
The spacious, natural garden invites you to relax and unwind with sun loungers, seating areas, and a covered terrace. 2–3 times a week, the Ayurveda Garden offers its guests an evening programme, including meditation, Ayurvedic show-cooking, in the summer and good weather, an Ayurvedic BBQ and live-cooking. The hotel also features a lounge with available reading material and Wi-Fi, as well as a small shop with Ayurvedic products such as incense and many beautiful treasures from India. For further variety, the renowned spa town of Bad Rappenau offers parks, a graduation tower, a meditation path, a water castle, Villa Rustica, a local history and saline museum, Krebsbachtalbahn, and the brine and sauna paradise RappSoDie, to name just a few attractions.
