Far from the stress of everyday life, nestled idyllically in the midst of the saline garden, you will experience authentic Ayurveda from South India. The intimate atmosphere and the personalised care in this hotel are crucial elements for the success of your Ayurveda therapy. In 2023, Ayurveda Garden in Bad Rappenau celebrates its 20th anniversary and the 200th anniversary of the existence of its 3 buildings.
Enjoy traditional Ayurveda in Bad Rappenau, the modern spa and bath town located between the Odenwald and the Black Forest, with 2 Indian Ayurveda doctors, authentic treatments, original Indian herbs and oils. Ayurveda Garden consists of 3 non-smoking buildings in a large natural garden and is situated far from the stress of everyday life in the middle of the saline park on the edge of the town, only about 500 m from the brine and sauna paradise RappSoDie. The intimate atmosphere and the personalised care in this hotel are crucial elements for the success of your Ayurveda therapy.
You will be indulged daily with three freshly cooked, warm vegetarian Ayurveda meals. The two-course lunch is served, while breakfast and dinner are available from the buffet, catering to all three doshas. Ingredients include herbs and spices from the hotel's own herb garden, and fruits and vegetables primarily sourced from local farms. Experience includes occasional show-cooking, and in the summer, an Ayurvedic BBQ and live cooking. The dining room is conveniently located in an adjacent building, just a few steps away. The hotel provides glass bottles and water dispensers for guests to enjoy freshly filtered water. Additionally, the hotel offers Ayurvedic snacks and tea daily from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during Tea-Time.
The Ayurveda Garden is led by Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Shine, a son of an Ayurvedic doctor family with a 200-year tradition, and yoga teacher Gudrun Samuel. The therapy rooms are located in the Saline 1 hotel. Here, professional therapists and traditional treatments such as Panchakarma, Ayurvedic massages, and Shirodhara forehead oil flow await you, tailored to your personal needs by the experienced Indian Ayurvedic doctors Dr. Shine and Dr. Hariraj, who studied Ayurvedic medicine in Kerala, India. A haven of relaxation is provided by the quiet room, and a large yoga room is available for the morning yoga sessions accompanying the treatment. Additionally, lectures and photo documentaries are occasionally offered.
Here, you will experience authentic Ayurveda with profound therapeutic treatments, so much so that the two Ayurvedic doctors advise against more than one treatment per day. The treatments have a lasting effect, and the body needs rest and time to process them. There are no rigid schedules for the treatments. Each treatment is specially tailored to the guest and their needs.
The expansive, natural garden invites you to relax and unwind with sun loungers, seating areas, and a covered terrace. The Ayurveda Garden offers its guests an evening programme 2-3 times a week, including meditation, Ayurvedic show-cooking, an Ayurvedic BBQ during summer and good weather, as well as live cooking. Additionally, the hotel features a lounge with a selection of reading materials and Wi-Fi, plus a small shop with Ayurvedic products such as incense and many beautiful treasures from India. For further variety, the renowned spa and bath town of Bad Rappenau offers parks, a graduation tower, a meditation path, a water castle, Villa Rustica, a local history and salt museum, the Krebsbach Valley Railway, and the brine and sauna paradise RappSoDie, to name just a few attractions.
